Bus Wraps
Bus wraps application is a type of coating applied to buses as mobile billboards, usually to promote special products or to increase brand awareness. However, buses covered by billboards or other outdoor advertisements are easy to transport and offer access to more people at a low cost. They may be placed on city buses, private buses, or tour buses. It is one of the best and cheapest ways to advertise.
Bus Wraps History
The idea of using buses as advertising dates back to about the early 20th century. While advertising posters were generally displayed on public buses at that time, Milton Hershey, who painted the famous "Hershey" logo on buses in the early 1900s, started the idea of covering the entire vehicle with an advertisement and the idea was held. The possibility of seeing advertisements with this bus wraps application for people who spend most of their day by driving or for pedestrians on the road has come up to the present since ancient times.
How to Make Bus Wraps?
All coatings nowadays start with a design idea. A client works with a graphic designer who specializes in working with skins to set their expectations and discuss ideas and brand guidelines. When the 2D design plan is implemented, the graphic designer must give various shapes to all kinds of curves and grooves of the bus and transform it into advertising. After the customer confirms the designer's proof, the designer consults with the manufacturer to split the design into panels to be applied to the bus in one go.
Ideally, these panels will create a perfect picture on the vehicle. Once the design is printed, the bus must be prepared before the vinyl coating is applied. The buses to be used are sent to a wash and cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before moving to a climate controlled environment for installation. Dust, dirt, grease and temperature changes can all prevent the vinyl from being applied properly. Installation usually takes two days. After the vinyl coating is installed, the vehicle must be left for one day to cure. When the process is completed, the vehicle is ready to go.
